Catriona has a vast experience with horses. Having been brought up on a farm with horses, growing up with Angus Pony Club, gaining her Pony Club 'A' Test. After finishing school, Catriona went on to study for a degree in Equine Science at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire. Whilst doing her studies she also worked locally for a point to point yard and a showing yard and also spent her spare time at the Therapy Centre located at the college. During her placement year she trained for her PTT and Stage 4 at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre, passing both. She also spent 6 months of her placement back down at Hartpury College Therapy Centre where she assisted in the day to day duties of rehabilitation work.

On completing her degree with a 2:1, Catriona managed to find work at a riding stables in Windsor to clock up her teaching hours whilst completing her ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage in Cirencester. Catriona then moved back to Gloucestershire to work as a freelance groom to a top HOYS producer, a well established competition yard, a hunting yard and a dressage rider.

Catriona then moved back up to Scotland where she set up as a freelance instructor whilst undertaking her ITEC Diploma in Equine Massage run by the renowned human and animal physiotherapist Mary Bromiley FCSP, SRP, RPT, (USA) in Somerset.

Catriona has also now completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy run by The College of Animal Physiotherapy and currently has a client base throughout Scotland working closely with vets and other therapists.

Catriona is a member of the International Association of Animal Therapists and The Equine Sports Massage Association, as well as being a BHS Registered Instructor.

She frequently competes her own horse, Lucky Miller, at Affiliated Dressage and Showing and is pictured jumping Onyx owned by Leisa Calder and Matin Lucas.
